TAL 5th Childrens day celebrations

Dear Children and Parents,



TAL family proudly invites you all to participate in the 5th Children's Day
celebrations on 19th November 2011, to commemorate India's First Prime
Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday. May we take this opportunity to
let you all know that, TAL is the first Telugu charity to organise
Children's day with children participating from all parts of United Kingdom
since 5 years.



This year, National Teachers Union  is participating to build awareness in
children's education & effective parenting.

Our venue is well located and connected by public transport and with the
reach of M4/M25 corridor.

All participants will be rewarded for their hard work.

programs, fun games and make it as a grand success.

AGE–LINK CHRISTMAS PARTY

Age-Link is a registered charity, established in 1975.

Our aim is to bring comfort to those elderly persons who may be lonely. This may be because they are housebound, blind or partially blind, wheelchair bound, or living alone without family. We have sixteen groups covering twenty three areas in Greater London, and we are very keen to extend our activities to other areas in order to help as many as possible.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life. We help approximately 400 disadvantaged pensioners, with the aid of 500 volunteers. 100 of these dedicated volunteers have been with Age-Link for more than thirty years. We also work with the organisations such as Rotary and Lions clubs, Sai Centres, schools, Girl Guide groups and other organisations.

Explained below, are the main activities in which Age-Link regularly engages.

1. Monthly trips

A Sunday outing is organised once a month for a group of twelve elderly guests. A typical afternoon would start with a sightseeing drive, followed by a tea party at the home of a volunteer hostess. Such parties provide our guests with the opportunity to chat together with one another and with our volunteers, play Bingo, or even participate in a 'Sing song'.

2. Theatre trips

Age-Link organises theatre trips. Performances are followed by tea parties for our elderly guests.

3. Summer trips to the Seaside

Age-Link organises summer coach trips to seaside resorts. Sightseeing, lunch, and entertainment by local artists are also provided for our elderly guests.

4. Summer Boat trips

Age-Link organises sightseeing boat trips on the River Thames, again with lunch and local entertainment.

5. Christmas parties

In December Age-Link organises around four to five Christmas parties across London. The parties start with a reception, followed by a traditional Christmas lunch, a visit from Santa Claus bearing Christmas gifts, and multicultural entertainment.
